Coed y Bedw “research” trip

Coed y Bedw is a small nature reserve managed by the Wildlife Trust just outside of the M4 near to Gwaelod y Garth and Pentyrch.

Mary Gillham was a regular visitor to these woods and was instrumental in bringing about environmental protection for them.

The Mary Gillham Project went on a little “research” trip (ahem) to see the effect of early spring on them… We were treated to a lovely warm and sunny day and saw the budding growth of numerous plants and trees. Check out more photos of the trip on our Flickr page.

Other things you can do!

  2. Watch a lovely 20 minute video about the site or a short excerpt featuring Mary Gillham.
  3. Go visit it, it’s lovely!
